10-12 yr. old girl hairstyles

It occurred to me as I am trying to figure out how to blog and searching on ways to do this, I keep encountering pop-ups aimed at girls.  I guess I didn’t realize how many advertisements there were. 

I wondered if I should write about this as I originally thought it was not relevant to my final project idea and then I realized that the women in my final project were also girls once and subjected to advertising, of some sort, and perhaps that is one of the reasons they sought out fame.

Hair is big, I am finding that there is heavy advertising on product, styles and the people that advertise them are obviously attractive and have great hair. 

For instance:  Hairstyles for girls between 10-12 yrs old.

I couldn’t believe that I found a site specifically for 10-12 yr old girl hairstyles.  Of course, as we know this is all governed around economics.  Sales for the business’ and beauty for the purchaser or their mother.  This made me think of the child beauty contests and mothers living through their daughters, or am I wrong?  We readily use that expression if a boy is encouraged to go into football by his father.
